Creaform is launching its second edition of the well acclaimed Sponsorship Program. The mission? Help the engineers of tomorrow reach the top. Nothing less!
Summer is almost over and a new school year is already starting. However, Creaform has great ideas in mind for our engineers of tomorrow. This September and for a second year in a row, Creaform Student Project Sponsorship Program is welcoming new teams of future engineers!
This initiative is an amazing opportunity for teams of future engineers all around the world to have their project thrive and stand out with the help of cutting-edge technologies. This program allows them to get their hands on a HandySCAN 3D system and to use Creaform’s VXmodel software for an entire school year. Creaform also takes care of the training and of the technical support. The loan of the equipment is completely free of charge.
A good example of contribution between Creaform and students is the company’s partnership with the VT Bolt electric motorcycle team, a project that was created by Virginia Tech students (VA, USA). Their goal: to evolve electric vehicle technology through design, construction, and demonstration of a high performance electric motorcycle. In 2013, the team decided to push the boundaries of their vehicle further, through modifying its design, thanks to a sponsorship and loaned HandySCAN 3D from Creaform. The partnership and the team’s hard work paid off, as they competed in the all-electric TTXGP North American Series and finished as “the fastest 75-class bike in the western hemisphere”.
François Leclerc, product manager for Creaform, says: “The program was so popular last year, that Creaform has decided to expand and double the amount of units available. Also new this year, the program will be available to teams all across the globe.” With an educative mission in mind, Creaform also offers the engineers of tomorrow complimentary manuals about reverse engineering and inspection. The company is looking forward to partnership and give support to an all new generation of promising engineers.
