The hypercar manufacturer leverages Creaform’s metrology expertise to boost productivity and increase product quality
Creaform, the worldwide leader in portable 3D measurement solutions and engineering services, today announced that Koenigsegg, the Swedish manufacturer of high-end, high performance sports cars, selected Creaform’s unmatched metrology technologies to assist it in bringing its product development and quality to unprecedented levels.
Thanks to Creaform’s MetraSCAN 3D scanners, HandySCAN 3D scanners, and HandyPROBE portable coordinate measuring machine, Koenigsegg was able to scan on its automotive parts’ dark and highly reflective surfaces—and virtually eliminate noise during their product development and quality control analyses. With over 300 hand-formed carbon parts in every Koenigsegg car, Creaform’s inspection solutions provided the accuracy and reliability required by the engineering team, even under rugged shop-floor conditions, to inspect production parts and adjust jigs.
