Creaform, the developer and manufacturer of the Handyscan 3D is developing a distribution network for a worldwide distribution

October 18, 2006

Levis, Canada October 19th, 2006 - Creaform counts 80 employees specialised in scan and laser inspection. After distributing and using different systems on the market, the development team started to develop and manufacture their own laser camera, the Handyscan 3D. This first hand held camera was launched the fall of 2005. The 100th unit of the Handyscan 3D was sold this summer and the reason of the rapid success of Creaform and their Handyscan 3D was the development of their world wide distribution network.

Creaform is already very successful selling the Handyscan 3D through their distribution network. So far, 30 companies around the world were hand picked for their experience and their knowledge in laser scanning, reverse engineering, CAD and related manufacturing process. Some of the regions are already well covered by the distribution network. Creaform plans to expand their network to meet the high demand of the Handyscan 3D.

A group of distributors and clients will meet on October 26th and October 27th in Quebec City, Canada, for the first User Group Meeting. During that meeting, the users of the Handyscan 3D will have an advance training and will be able to share their experience.
